Pakistan Discovered 38 Oil, Gas Reserves in last Four Years

Pakistan discovered 38 reserves during the last four year, taking the country’s natural gas production to 4,165 Mmcfd from 3,973 million.

Assiociated Press of Pakistan said in a report that the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources awarded 47 exploration licences, from 2007 to 2011, to exploit the natural oil and gas resources. Country’s oil and gas companies dug 102 wells during the period.

The country has also been working on natural gas pipeline projects like Iran-Pakistan (IP) gas pipeline and Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline projects to import the commodity for meeting the growing energy demand in the country.
