Pakistan Cuts Regasified LNG Prices

Pakistan’s Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has reduced prices of regasified LNG (RLNG) for March, The Express Tribune reported March 5.

Ogra has fixed the RLNG price for consumers of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines at $10.3/mn Btu and for consumers of Sui Southern Gas Company at $10.2/mn Btu. For February, the prices were  $10.5/mn Btu for Sui Northern and $10.9/mn Btu for Sui Southern, the newspaper reported.

The final price of the RLNG supplies to customers also includes terminal charges, transmission costs, port charges and the importers' margins: Pakistan State Oil and Pakistan LNG.

Pakistan started importing LNG in March 2015 with the commissioning of FSRU Exquisite at Port Qasim near Karachi. Pakistan commissioned its second FSRU late-2017.
