Oz Woodside Extends Pluto Turnaround

Australian Woodside has extended planned maintenance schedule at its Pluto LNG plant owing to technical issues during the restart, it said June 11

“The Pluto LNG turnaround was completed as planned but the mixed refrigerant compressor has experienced vibration on restart. As a result, further activities extending the turnaround have commenced to achieve the restart of production, targeted for the end of June 2019,” it said.

Woodside said it has made arrangements to meet obligations to its customers, including the purchase of third party cargoes.

Due to the turnaround extension, the company expects its 2019 production to be at the lower end of the 88 – 94mn boe guidance range. The extension comes at a time of depressed spot prices.
