Oz Strike Completes West Erregulla Drilling Programme

Australian Strike Energy September 24 said it has finished all drilling and completion activities at West Erregulla-2.

Strike will demobilise the Easternwell 106 rig from the West Erregulla 2 site over the next two weeks before the production flow testing package is called out to the site. The flow test is expected to commence in early October and activities will take approximately two weeks to gather flow and pressure data from the reservoir, the company said.

“The West Erregulla 2 well has made three individual conventional gas discoveries, has found the deepest hydrocarbons ever seen in Australia and has now set up the company for continued success along the Wagina and Kingia High Cliff geological trends,” managing director Stuart Nicholls said.

The West Erregulla-2 campaign is taking place within EP469 in the North Perth Basin in Western Australia. Strike is the operator and the holder of a 50% joint venture interest, and Warrego Energy is the holder of the other 50%.
