Oz Senex's Q3 Output Up 77%

Australian oil and gas explorer Senex Energy April 15 said its production during the three months to March 31 (Q3 2020) was up 77% yr/yr at 6,473 boe/d. Gas and gas liquids output was 4,637 boe/d and oil production was 1,835 boe/d.

Sales revenue of A$33.3mn (US$20mn) was up 19.7% yr/tr thanks to higher gas production and increased average realised gas prices, the company said. Senex expects no change to its production guidance of 1.8-2mn boe for the year to June 2020 (FY2020) despite the uncertain environment.

In Surat basin, Senex has reduced the originally planned 110 well campaign to 85 wells. Further, the company has reviewed its Atlas capital programme and identified an opportunity to build, own and operate Atlas water management infrastructure.

“After the reduction of 25 wells and the inclusion of Atlas water management infrastructure, Senex expects net capital expenditure for its Surat Basin gas development projects to reduce by around A$15mn,” it said.

Meanwhile, Senex said that field operations and work programmes are proceeding safely and with minimal disruption following implementation of government, World Health Organisation and industry guidelines.
