Oz Real Energy Updates on Queensland Project

Queensland-focused explorer Real Energy December 12 announced the recoverable prospective gas resources data for its Project Venus.

Real said that independent review provides the best estimate for prospective gas resources of 694 petajoules. Project Venus contains acreage covering 154km2 which is within the main Walloon fairway and close to gas infrastructure, the company said.

The 50:50 joint venture between Real and Strata X Energy is moving ahead with highly prospective Walloon coalbed methane acreage which is surrounded by major producing assets, Real said.

Real, as the operator, has submitted and completed all the matters required to allow ATP2051 to be granted. It expects the permit to be granted shortly by the Queensland government and is preparing to start fieldwork in early 2020.
