Oz LNG Exports in October Up on Month: EnergyQuest

Australian LNG exports in October stood at 6.6mn metric tons (97 cargoes), higher than 6.2mn mt (91 cargoes) in September, advisory firm EnergyQuest said in its monthly LNG report published November 15.

October shipments were 77.8mn mt/year on an annualised basis, a little ahead of Qatar’s nameplate capacity of 77mn mt/yr, EnergyQuest said. In the ten months to October, Australian projects shipped 63.4mn mt of LNG. EnergyQuest expects total Australian shipments for 2019 to be around 75mn mt, just behind Qatar on an annual basis.

West coast LNG shipments were up by 5 cargoes in October compared with September, primarily due to the North West Shelf returning to normal production rates, while east coast LNG shipments were up by one cargo, EnergyQuest said.
