Oz East Coast LNG Exports Dip 4% in September

LNG exports from projects located on the Australian east coast stood at 1.84mn metric tons in September, down 3.7% yr/yr, according to data published by Gladstone Ports Corporation on October 6. Exports were up 10.1% month on month, however.

The three LNG export projects – the ConocoPhillips-Origin Energy Australia Pacific LNG, Shell’s Queensland Curtis LNG, and the Santos-led Gladstone LNG – shipped 1.22mn mt of LNG to China last month compared with 1.24mn mt in the same month of last year.

Malaysia imported 64,113 mt of LNG, against 247,730 mt in the year-ago period. South Korea imported 363,219 mt, up from 230,930 mt, the data showed. Shipments to Japan stood at 66,183 mt compared with 128,393 mt in the year ago period. India imported 62,979 mt versus no imports last year.
