NYK takes delivery of new LNGC

Japanese shipping company NYK Line has taken delivery of Diamond Gas Victoria LNG carrier, it said on July 29. The vessel was built by Korean shipyard Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.

The carrier will transport LNG from British Columbia for the LNG Canada project, as well as from other locations around the world, under a long-term time-charter contract with Diamond Gas International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation (MC).  The vessel is owned by NYK, Malaysia’s Asia LNG Transport and MC through the joint venture Diamond LNG Shipping 6.
