NuEnergy Gas Successfully Tests for CSG in Sumatra

NuEnergy Gas has announced results of drilling and testing program from two coal seam gas wells in Muara Enim PSC in South Sumatra, Indonesia. One of the two will be used as a future pilot well.

Gas-in-place at Muara Enim is about 7.25 billion cubic feet per square kilometres, given its 652.6 square kilometre area, works out to a total in-place gas resource net to itself of 1.89 trillion cubic feet of gas.

NuEnergy has also completed Well-2 in Muara Enim as future pilot production well that will test permeability, water and gas productivity from the Suban coal seam.

The next phase of the NuEnergy 2012 South Sumatra exploration and development program is to prove the permeability and productivity of the Suban and Mangus coal seams in both Muara Enim PSC and Muara Enim II PSC where the total net coal seams are up to 88 metres or 288 feet thick.

NuEnergy holds a 40% interest and is operator of the Muara Enim PSC.
