Novatek Output Dips in Q2

Russia's biggest private gas producer Novatek recorded a 2.2% year-on-year decline in gas output in the second quarter, it said on July 13.

The company produced 18.5bn m3 of gas in the three-month period, down from 18.9bn m3 a year earlier.  Its liquids production was down 3.8% at 2.92mn mt, bringing overall hydrocarbon output to 1.6mn barrels of oil equivalent/day, down 2.5%.

Gas production in the first half was unchanged yr/yr at 37.58bn m3, while liquids extraction was down 0.9% at 5.97mn mt.
