Norwest Successfully Completes Well Test at Arrowsmith-2

Norwest Energy reports that field activities at the Arrowsmith-2 well, comprising the 14-day well test and production logging program, have been successfully concluded.

The analysis and interpretation of the dataset from this final test work to evaluate the contribution of gas and fluids from each of the perforated target intervals is currently in progress.

Arrowsmith-2 is located in EP413, northern Perth Basin, Western Australia.

Results of analysis would be crucial in determining the optimal zone and target interval in planning to drill the first horizontal well, Arrowsmith-3, Norwest said.

“After we finalise these results, the Arrowsmith joint venture partners will commence the process of determining the interval that has the greatest potential to deliver an optimal result from the planned Arrowsmith-3 horizontal well. These are all important steps as we progress towards the pathway to commercialisation at the Arrowsmith Project,” Norwest Energy Chief Executive Officer Peter Munachen said.

EP413 Joint Venture: Norwest Energy 27.945% (Operator); AWE Limited 44.252% (via subsidiaries); Bharat PetroResources Ltd 27.803%.
