Norway's Gas Output Dips in April

Norway's total gas sales were 10.17bn m³ in April, down 0.6bn m³ from March, the offshore regulator Norwegian Petroleum Directorate said May 22. Oil output was also down, which it said was due to technical difficulties at some fields.

But gas output was up both against April last year when it produced 10bn m³; and against the forecast 9.999bn m³, suggesting that gas demand was a little higher than expected. For the year, NPD forecasts sales of 121.7bn m³, of which nearly all goes to markets in continental Europe or is delivered in liquid form globally.
