North West Shelf LNG, Kyushu Electric Sign LNG Supply Extension Deal

North West Shelf LNG and Kyushu Electric Power Company have agreed a six year extension on an existing supply deal. As per the new deal, North West Shelf will supply an additional 5 million tonnes of LNG to Kyushu Electric until March 2023.

Kyushu Electric Power Company has been a major customer of the North West Shelf Project since 1989.

The six equal participants in the North West Shelf Project are: BHP Billiton Petroleum (North West Shelf) Pty Ltd, BP Developments Australia Pty Ltd, Chevron Australia Pty Ltd, Japan Australia LNG (MIMI) Pty Ltd, Shell Development (Australia) Pty Ltd and Woodside Energy Ltd (Operator).
