Nakilat's profit up 19% in Q1

Qatari shipping company Nakilat on April 17 said its net profit for the first quarter ended March 31 (Q1) was up 19.3% year/year owing to savings in finance charges.  

The state-owned firm achieved a net profit of 382mn Qatari riyals ($104.9mn) compared with a net profit of 320.1mn Qatari riyal during the same period last year. Total revenue came in at 1.06bn Qatari riyals, up 5.6% yr/yr.
