Myanmar's gas export earnings cross $2.3bn in April-December

Myanmar earned $2.36bn from the export of natural gas between April 1 and December 15, 2023, China’s Xinhua news agency reported on December 30 citing data from the country’s ministry of commerce.

The four offshore natural gas production projects—Yadana, Yedagun, Shwe, and Zawtika—were the main contributors.

During the specified period, the export of natural gas secured the second position in Myanmar's foreign revenue earnings, trailing only behind the export of finished garments, which garnered $3.1bn.
