Mosman Gets Extension to Oz Permit Work Programme

The government of the Australian state of Northern Territory has approved Mosman Oil and Gas’s application for an extension to the work programme for permit EP145 in the Amadeus basin, the company said on July 10 in a statement.

The approval provides additional time to arrange access to the permit area and to conduct further environmental work and preliminary logistics once the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, UK-listed Mosman said. This means that the previously required work programme for permit year three will be suspended for 12 months until August 2021 and the exploration permit will be extended until August 2023.

According to Mosman, EP145 is near several oil and gas producing fields and key infrastructure, including a gas pipeline connecting the gas fields to Alice Springs and Darwin, and a pipeline being built to connect to gas markets in eastern Australia.
