MOL Drills Norwegian Duster`

Hungarian MOL is in the process of completing the drilling of wildcat weat well 3/7-11 S in licence 539, 7 km from the  Trym gas and condensate field, the regulator Norwegian Petroleum Directorate said May 24.

No reservoir rocks were encountered in the Rotliegende group. In the upper part of the Vestland group, the well encountered thin, mainly tight sandstone layers with indications of petroleum. Data has been acquired and samples have been taken.

This is the second exploration well in production licence 539, which was awarded in APA 2009, and it will be plugged and abandoned.
