MET Names Reinisch as Group Sales Head

Klaus Reinisch joined MET Group December 1 to run its European sales division, the Swiss energy trading house said. "He brings diverse experience in running and optimising asset-backed sales and trading portfolios which will be helpful in his new role at MET," it said.

Reinisch has extensive international experience, having worked in Europe, southeast Asia, the Middle East and the US. Senior positions include a directorship at Ukraine's DTEK Group and at  energy trader Trailstone. He also ran Malaysia’s state Petronas energy trading business.

MET Group CEO Benjamin Lakatos said: “The experience of Mr. Klaus Reinisch will support us in strengthening our sales business operations in Europe and in driving our ambitious international growth plans.”

MET bought gas storage assets in Germany earlier this month, having set up a subsidiary there: MET Germany.
