Medco starts Riau gas power plant in Indonesia

Medco Power Indonesia through its subsidiary, Medco Ratch Power Riau, has started commercial operation of the 275 MW Riau gas-fired combines cycle power plant, Medco Energi said earlier this month.

The $290mn power plant is part of the National Strategic Projects, which has been connected to the Sumatra power system and will strengthen its power reliability as well as reduce greenhouse gas emission intensity, particularly in Riau province and the central part of Sumatra, Medco said.
