Man Wins LNG Fuel System Order

Germany’s MAN Energy Solutions has secured an order for an LNG fuel-gas supply system from Norwegian shipowner Egil Ulvan Rederi.

The system is for a multipurpose palletised cargo and refrigerated vessel newbuild, MAN said in a September 10 note. Designed by Norway’s Multi Maritime, the ship will be built at the Tersan shipyard in Turkey.

Egil Ulvan Rederi CEO Arild Hoff said MAN had been chosen as a supplier because of its “track record of complex LNG solutions.”

MAN will provide a vertical, vacuum-insulated 364-m3 LNG tank, a complex tank-connection space with two redundant LNG supply trains, an LNG cold-recovery evaporator and an integrated bunker station.
