Malaysia's Dialog to Develop LNG Project in Johor State With Petronas Gas

Malaysia's energy service firm Dialog Group has agreed to work with Petronas Gas to develop LNG regasification facilities in the state of Johor.

The facilities would comprise of a regasification unit and two units of 200,000 m3 LNG storage tanks with an initial send out capacity of 3.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of natural gas at Pengerang, Southern Johor, Malaysia.

Total cost of the project is estimated at around 2.7 billion ringgit ($807 million).

Petronas Gas will acquire 65 percent while Dialog will hold 25 percent and Johor state will hold the remaining 10%.
