Magnum Gas & Power to Test Gas at Botswana CBM Project

Magnum Gas & Power Limited is expected to begin coring and gas testing and analysis at its Botswana CBM exploration project next week.

Core and gas samples will be tested and analysed by Weatherford, an international expert in CBM analysis.

Magnum’s CBM acreage is located in the Central region of Botswana. Existing power generation facilities in Botswana’s critical power market are currently awaiting CBM gas supply.

The company has secured a significant portfolio of Botswana prospecting licences over acreage that is prospective for CBM.  The portfolio has been focused on the strategic areas of two prospective basins within the vast Kalahari Karoo basin, the Northern Project area being in the Nata region over the Ngwasha Basin and the Central Project area being over the Mmashoro Basin.
