Linde, Cnooc Signs Hydrogen MoU

Industrial gases and engineering company Linde has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Cnooc Energy Technology & Services, a unit of state-run Cnooc, to jointly develop the hydrogen energy industry in China, it said on July 23 in a statement.

Together, the companies will explore options for investing in hydrogen production and filling facilities, and for the further the use of hydrogen in industrial applications, particularly mobility.

Linde said it has installed over 180 hydrogen fuelling stations and 80 hydrogen electrolysis plants worldwide. Cnooc Energy Technology & Services is a new energy subsidiary of Cnooc, which has a footprint of filling stations in the coastal areas of China.
