Linc Energy, GCL to Commercialize UCG to GTL in China

Linc Energy Ltd and GCL Projects Limited, a subsidiary of Golden Concord Holdings Limited have agreed on commercial terms to form a joint venture to commercialise UCG (Underground Coal Gasification) to GTL (Gas to Liquids) in China.

The first multi-gasifier project will likely commence construction within 6 months of completion of the suite of formal binding legal agreements.

The two companies will use the UCG and gas to liquids (GTL) process which Linc has developed over the past 5 years at its Chinchilla demonstration project in Queensland.

The planned UCG facility will initially consist of 4 commercial gasifiers with Golden Concord having the option to expand this to 6 gasifiers.

Linc’s Chinchilla plant is claimed to be the only one of its kind producing synthetic diesel using gas sourced produced using UCG.
