Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) and ENI North Africa Libya (operator) on Monday announced a new gas discovery in Contract Area D (NC41) in Sabratah Basin, offshore Libya.

The discovery came from the new field wildcat well B1-16/04, located approximately 82 km from the Libyan coast and 15 km southwest of the Bahr Essalam Field. The well was drilled at an average water depth of about 150 meters.
