The 14th attack on the Arab Gas Pipeline which took place on Monday is likely to prolong the disruption of Egyptian gas supplies to Jordan.

Amman has yet to receive information from Cairo regarding the required time to repair the damages sustained by the latest blast.

Continuous attacks on the pipeline has compelled Jordon top look for alternate supplies for its energy need. The country has initiated talks with Qatar and Iraq for natural gas deals.

Egyptian gas supplies to Jordan have dipped from 220 million cubic feet per day in 2010 to 80 million cubic feet in 2011 to negligible amounts this year.
