Lansdowne Pleased with North Celtic Sea Basin Seismic Surveys

Irish Lansdowne Oil & Gas has said that it is very pleased with the results of recently received processed 3D seismic surveys on its three prospects in the North Celtic Sea Basin. The company will present its results at the Proactive Investors One 2 One Forum in London today.

Lansdowne currently holds interests in three prospects in the Celtic Sea Basin offshore of Ireland, the Amergin, Rosscarbery and Midleton Prospects.

"We are very pleased with the quality of the 3D seismic which we consider to be excellent," CEO of Lansdowne Dr. Steve Boldy said. "Our first pass review of the data indicates all three prospects are robust structural closures. Interpretation is continuing and we anticipate completing this and the opening of a dataroom early next year for prospective partners to review the data."

The Midleton prospect encompasses an area of 542 sq. kilometres and contains the "low-risk" Midleton and East Kinsale gas satellite prospects. Lansdowne has a 100 per cent interest in Midleton.

The Rosscarbery prospect, in licence 5/07, encompasses an area of 365.81 sq. kilometres and contains the Rosscarbery, SE & West Rosscarbery gas satellite prospects along with the Galley Head Gas field and the Carrigaline gas discovery. Lansdowne holds a 99 per cent interest in Rosscarbery.

The Amergin prospect is 100 per cent owned by Lansdowne and has previously tested for 6,467 bopd in the Gulf Oil 49/9-2 discovery of the Helvick Field in 1983.
