Lane Energy announces spudding of its second well - Legowo LE1

Lane Energy Poland Sp.z.o.o., a subsidiary of 3Legs Resources plc,  in partnership with ConocoPhillips, has announced that its second vertical exploration well in its Baltic concessions, Legowo LE1 well, was spudded earlier today.

The Legowo well is located approximately 20km south of Gdańsk and just north of the town of Pszczołki and is targeted at the Silurian and Ordovician shales.

Lane’s first well,  #1LE Lebien, reached total depth on July 28th.

In August 2009, 3Legs and ConocoPhillips, the third largest integrated energy company in the US, entered into an agreement to jointly evaluate the potential of Lane's six Baltic Basin licences covering an area of ~1 million acres (approximately 4,000 square kilometres).

ConocoPhillips will fund an initial shale gas exploration programme of seismic and drilling. Lane Energy will act as operator on the initial phase.
