Kunlun's Dalian Terminal's Winter Imports Up

Chinese state Kunlun Energy’s Dalian LNG import terminal unloaded 1.2mn metric tons of LNG during the period November 1 and March 15, an increase of 310,000 mt over the same period last year, CNPC, the parent company, said March 19. China's winter season runs from November to March.

The terminal has supplied 1.8bn m3 of regasified LNG to customers downstream, CNPC said. The terminal has a loading and unloading capacity of 6mn mt/yr.

PetroChina operates three LNG import terminals - Jiangsu, Tangshan and Dalian. The Jiangsu terminal is located in Jiangsu province; Tangshan terminal is in Hebei province and Dalian in Liaoning province.

Last year, the three terminals imported record volumes of LNG as demand for gas was very strong. The three terminals, in total, received more than 15mn mt of LNG in 2018 for the first time ever.
