Kremlin says can't rule out Nord Stream sabotage
The Kremlin cannot rule out sabotage being the cause of leaks that simultaneously occurred at three of the four strings of the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines on September 26, spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on September 27, according to Reuters.
"No option can be ruled out right now," Peskov said, adding that it was "very concerning news" given the impact the incidents could have on the energy security of the entire continent. As Nord Stream 2 was never launched, and Nord Stream 1 was closed at the end of August, there has been no impact on gas flow to Europe.

Danish prime minister Mette Frederiksen likewise told public broadcaster DR on September 27 that sabotage could not be ruled out, noting it was hard to imagine that the leaks occurred as a coincidence.
