Kazakhstan's KMG Gas Output up in 2019

Gas production at Kazakhstan's KazMunayGas (KMG) rose by 3.9%in 2019 arriving at 8.455bn m3, the state-run company reported on February 19, thanks to growth at the country's top three upstream projects.

KMG has shares in Kazakhstan's Tengiz, Karachaganak and Kashagan oil and gas projects. It netted 3.26bn m3 of output from its share of Tengiz, up 4.2%, 1.86bn m3 from Karachaganak, up 1.6%, and 700mn m3 from Kashagan, up 10.4%.

The company's oil and gas condensate production was unchanged last year at 23.6mn mt, while its refining throughput rose 4.4% to 20.6mn mt.
