Klaipedos Nafta, GASNAM Sign MoU to Develop LNG Standards

On Monday, Lithuania's Klaipedos Nafta signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Spanish Association of Natural Gas for Mobility, GASNAM, aimed at developing standards for the use of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

“We can share our experience with international market players and standardise certain processes,” Mantas Bartuška, CEO of Klaipedos Nafta, said in a statement released yesterday

Klaipėdos Nafta, founded in 1994, is the operator of the Klaipėda Oil Terminal based in Klaipėda, Lithuania. It is also the operator of the Klaipeda LNG terminal.

Klaipedos Nafta is expected to build an onshore LNG reloading station by 2017.

GASNAM was founded in Spain in 2013. It currently has 79 members.
