Keyera, Ovintiv Announce Start of CDN Gas Plant

Canadian midstream services provider Keyera and Denver-based Ovintiv (formerly Encana) said October 13 operations had started at Keyera’s Pipestone gas plant in the Montney fairway of northwestern Alberta.

The plant, a joint development of Keyera and Ovintiv, comprises 200mn ft3/day of gas processing capacity and 24,000 barrels/day (b/d) of condensate processing capacity. Its design and construction was completed by Ovintiv on budget and five months ahead of schedule.

Pipestone provides Ovintiv with an additional 170mn ft3/day of natural gas processing capacity and 19,000 b/d of condensate processing capacity. Keyera will provide the processing capacity under a fee-for-service midstream arrangement.
