Jura, Partners Flow Gas from Pakistani Well

Pakistan focused Jura Energy July 18 announced a gas and condensate discovery at its Zainab-1 exploratory well in the Badin IV North exploration license in Sindh province.

The drilling of Zainab-1 began June 5 and reached the targeted depth on June 28, 2017. The average gas flow was 10.2mn ft³/d through 32 / 64" choke during the 12 hours of test.

Commercial production from Zainab-1 is expected to be entitled to gas and condensate price of $4.44/mn Btu and $46.5/b respectively, based on a carriage and freight crude oil price of $50/b, under Pakistan's Petroleum Exploration and Production Policy, 2012.

Jura holds a 27.5% working interest in the Badin IV North exploration licence, which is operated by Petroleum Exploration Private.
