Jura Completes Pakistan Well

Pakistan-focused Jura Energy has completed the Zarghun South-4 (ZS-4) development well in the Zarghun South lease in the Balochistan province as a gas-producing well, it said April 10 in a statement.

Jura said that ZS-4 was drilled as a deviated well to a total measured depth of approximately 2,022 metres and a short duration post-completion testing was conducted after perforating selective intervals of approximately 245 metres. The well flowed 5.04mn ft3/day of gas at 24/64" choke size.

“The tie-in of ZS-4 with the gas processing facilities is complete and production is expected to commence shortly,” the company said.

Jura holds a 40% working interest in the Zarghun South lease, which is operated by Mari Petroleum. Other partners in the project are Government Holdings and PKP Exploration.
