Jordan's NEPCO Floats Tender for Supply of Two LNG Cargoes

The National Electric Power Company of Jordan (NEPCO) has invited bids for the supply of two LNG cargoes to be delivered to the Al‐Sheikh Sabah LNG terminal at Aqaba, Jordan.

The bids are for delivery of LNG in September and are due on 27 July.

Volume of delivered LNG should not be greater than 151,500 m3 per cargo, according to the tender document published Thursday. For each cargo, the actual quantity of LNG delivered may be the contract quantity plus or minus two percent.

Earlier this month, Aqaba terminal received first Qatari LNG. A Maltese ship called Castillo de Sebastian was carrying the 160,000 cubic meters of Qatari LNG.

Late last month BAM International said it completed the €65-million-project ($73 million) to construct the Aqaba LNG terminal for Jordan’s Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) two months ahead of schedule.
