JKX Delayed on Ramping Up of Gazprom-Feed Field

European-focused JKX has announced that a planned ramp up of production from the Koshekhablskoye field in Russia has been delayed while a new well comes onstream.

The company said that the field, which is located in the southern Russian autonomous Republic of Adygea, had been expected to increase production since its initial production began in mid-April. However, this increase has been delayed due to side-track operations now underway on Well 27 on the field, a task which is expected to be completed by the end of this quarter this year.

The well is being side-tracked in the reservoir section, JKX said in a statement. While the company waits for that well to come on-stream, the initial delivery level of the field has been maintained, keeping the levels as in April.

The gas produced from the Koshekhablskoye field flows into Gazprom's network in Russia.

The company also said that it had that following the conclusion of  all necessary regulatory inspections and approvals in May, it anticipated an issue with attaining a Permit to Operate in the second quarter. The company now says that this final permit has been received.
