Japex Starts Full Ops at Soma LNG Terminal

Japan Petroleum Exploration (Japex) has started full operations at its Soma LNG import terminal, it said on February 19.

The facility was shut down on February 14 following a 7.3 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture. The partial operations started on February 16. The terminal has now started supply of regasified LNG to the Fukushima gas-fired power plant, located adjacent to the Soma LNG terminal.
