Japan's Nikkiso Wins LNG Contract in Russia

Japan's Nikkiso has won a contract to supply all the cryogenic pumps for a major gas liquefaction terminal under construction in Russia, it said on August 5.

A large portion of the pumps will be designed, engineered, assembled and tested at Nikkiso's plants in Japan, although some will be supplied by Germany's ACD Cryo.

“We are excited for this opportunity and the potential to grow our business in Russia," Peter Wagner, CEO of Nikkiso Cryogenic Industries, said in a statement.

The project is due to begin in late 2022 and run for several years, Nikkiso said, noting that it had had a "long and productive" relationship with the unidentified client. Nikkiso has also established an office in Moscow to support LNG and petrochemical customers in the Russian market.
