Japan's MOL Bids Farewell to Oldest LNGC
Japanese shipping company Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has bid farewell to its oldest LNG carrier, Senshu Maru, it said on January 28 on LinkedIn. The vessel has been sent to India for recycling.
The carrier served MOL for 37 years and sailed nearly 2,000,000 nautical miles while completing 733 voyages and carrying 9mn tons of LNG, the company said.

Tokyo-based MOL is one of the largest shipping companies in the world. Its fleet includes dry cargo ships, LNG carriers, tankers, container ships, and container terminals. Its LNG tanker fleet includes the Arc-7 ice-breaking tankers used for the Yamal LNG project in Russia's far north.
