Japan's March LNG Imports Down

Japan’s LNG imports in March stood at 7.29mn metric tons, down 8.1% year-on-year, according to the provisional data released by country’s finance ministry April 17.

March imports were also lower month-on-month. In February 2019, Japan imported 7.35mn mt of LNG. 

For the 12-months to March 31, Japan’s LNG imports were 80.55mn mt, down 4% compared with the year before, the ministry said.
