Japan's 2017 LNG Imports Up 0.4% on Year

Japan’s LNG imports for the full year 2017 were 83.63mn metric tons, up 0.4% year on year, according to the provisional data released by Japan’s finance ministry January 24. Imports in December were 7.95mn mt, up 5.4% year on year.

Japan remains the world’s largest importer, with China and South Korea jockeying for second place.
