Italy: AleAnna Granted Permit for Po Valley Well

The Italian Ministry of Economic Development has granted a drilling permit for the Gallare 6d well in the Po Valley in Italy to operator AleAnna Resources.

The announcement was made by BRS Resources, which holds a 17.35 per cent membership interest in AleAnna Resources.

"This is a very exciting time for BRS," Steve Moore, president and CEO of BRS Resources said."We are thrilled that AleAnna has its first drilling permit in hand, though it's really just the beginning of an exploration and development program that will lay the foundation for BRS Resources' future growth."

AleAnna has also finalised an agreement with the landowner of the area, positioning for the commencement of  drilling within the next 60 to 90 days.

Po Valley is the second largest onshore gas province in Europe, with 27 trillion cubic feet of natural gas (Tcf) already produced in the area to date.
