Iran’s Shourijeh Gas Storage Facility to be Operational by November

Iran’s gas storage capacity will rise to 30 mcm/d as the Shourijeh storage facility comes on-stream later this year.

Shourijeh storage facility, country’s second largest will be operational by November, Shana news quoted Masoud Samivand, Managing Director of Natural Gas Storage Company (NGSC) as saying.

"Given the vast potentials expected to be provided by the Shourijeh gas storage facility for upstream and refinery sectors, nearly 20 mcm/d of recovered gas will be added to the gas storage and refining capacity of the country to reach 30 mcm/d," said Samivand.

Shourijeh gas storage facility, which is located in the Northeastern province of North Khorassan, is totally designed, built, installed and operated by the NGSC, Samivand further said.
