Iran to Soon Bring Three South Pars Phases Online

Three phases of South Pars gas field will come online by the end of current Iranian calendar year which ends on March 20, 2013, Iranian minister of petroleum Rostam Qasemi said.

All the phases of South Pars gas field will come on stream in 2015 and would yield 700 million cubic meters per day, Shana news agency quoted the minister as saying. He said gas condensate output stands at 360 thousand barrels per day now but will reach 1.2 million barrels per day in near future.

Qasemi pointed that Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline contract would be finalized in next 30 days adding the Iranian side of the pipeline, from Assaluyeh to Pakistan border, was now complete while construction of the pipeline inside the Pakistan territory would start in near future.

On Iran-Iraq gas pipeline, Qasemi said the gas exports contract to Iraq was in the course of finalization amid negotiations with other countries on gas exports, Shana reported.
