Iran Plans Gas Exports to Europe, China & Persian Gulf States

Iranian official have said that the country has the capacity to deliver natural gas to Europe, China and two Persian Gulf states, Shana news agency said.

However, the officials refused to name the two Persian Gulf states. Gas exports to Europe will take place through a pipeline passing through Turkey.

Regarding gas exports to Iraq, officials said that initial agreement requires Iran to pump 25 million cubic meters of gas to Iraq per day. The deal regarding the exports will be finalised soon.

Iranian gas will be supplies to Iraq’s industries and power plants for five years, renewable for two more terms, Shana said.

The planned Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline is taking shape and Iran has already finished the construction of its tranche of the pipeline.
