Indonesia's Jambi Merang Gas Field to Shut Down in April

Indonesia’s Jambi Merang gas field will cease operation for ten days in April for maintanance, media reports said.

The shutdown is likely to affect supply of 120 mmscfd of gas.

The block is jointly operated by Pertamina, Talisman, and Pacific Oil & Gas.

Despite shutdown, the field will likley achieve its targeted output of 96 mmscfd, substantially higher than last year's 66 mmscfd.

Jambi Merang's supplies gas mainly to PLN, Chevron, Perusahaan Daerah Pertambangan dan Energi (PDPDE) Sumatera Selatan, and Pengembangan Kota Batam (PKB).
