Indonesian H1 Oil, Gas Output Short of Target

Indonesia’s oil and gas production during the first six months of the year fell short of the targeted level of 2mn barrels of oil equivalent/day, upstream regulator SKKMigas said July 9.

The country produced 1.8mn boe/d during the first half of the year, 89% of the target. Oil production was 752,000 barrels/day, 97% of the target of 775,000 b/d, while gas production was 1.06mn boe/d, 84% of the targeted 1.25mn boe/d, SKKMigas said.

The regulator said that the 2019 production target is expected to be achieved as eight new projects will come onstream in the second half of the year.
