Indonesia Awards Exploration Rights for CBM projects

Indonesia has awarded rights to explore seven CBM projects to three different companies, the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry said in a press note.

The three companies that were awarded the projects are Sugico Graha, Sumber Daya Energi and Citra Pita Niagatama.

Sugico Graha won five work areas, at Bangkanai I, II, III, IV and West Sanga-Sanga I, Sumber Daya Energi won the Tanah Laut work area and Citra Pita Niagatama won the Kuala Kapuas II work area.

In addition to the CBM blocks, the government has also awarded exploration rights for six oil and gas blocks to companies including Niko Resources Ltd. and Serica Energy Plc.

Total investment commitments for the oil and gas blocks are $38.15 million and for CBM are $35.65 million, the ministry said.
